Wann wird das Past Progressive genutzt?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Im englischen gibt es als Vergangenheitsform nicht nur das Simple Past<\/a>, sondern auch das Past Progressive. Das Past Progressive ist eine Verlaufsform der Vergangenheit, die es im Deutschen nicht gibt. Diese Zeitform wird in folgenden Situationen benutzt:<\/p>\n

a) F\u00fcr zwei Handlungen, die in der Vergangenheit zum gleichen Zeitpunkt stattfanden.<\/p>\n

b) F\u00fcr Handlungen, die in der Vergangenheit zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt andauerten.<\/p>\n

Wie werden Fragen und Verneinungen im Past Progressive gebildet?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bei Fragen wird das Verb “to be” (im Simple Past) an den Anfang des Satzes gestellt.<\/p>\n

\nWas<\/strong> he reading<\/strong> a book when the telephone rang?<\/p>\n

Bei Verneinungen wird das Verb “to be” (im Simple Past) mit dem Wort “not” verbunden.<\/p>\n
